Superbly appointed newly refurbished 1950s fully air-conditioned villa overlooking the square in Bombarral town and within easy driving distance of all the amenities and the beach at Peniche, on Portugal's Silver Coast. There are 6 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms; and another toilet cloakroom adjacent to the kitchen dining room. The dining room leads out onto the pool terrace where guests can make full use of the outside space and the garden furniture provided. Rising just above the pool is a large terrace with seating for 5 people. There is also a portable BBQ below on the side terrace for guests to use and enjoy. There is a large games room with snooker table, board games etc. just below the elevated terrace and can be accessed directly from the kitchen diner and also the pool terrace. The stylishly decorated bedrooms are all fitted stand-alone clothes racks, comfortable beds, bedside tables and ambient lighting that are in keeping with the overall ambience of the property. Each bedroom has air-conditioning and it equipped with satellite TV. The interior of the property has been completely refurbished with modern décor and perfectly reflect the minimalism of the Art Deco period in which the villa was constructed. Located within a short 20 minute drive of the bustling beach at Peniche and Baleal, where you can take your afternoon lunch in one of the many restaurants lining the beach or just chill out from all the sun with refreshments from one of the bars. There are also many wonderful sandy beaches at Peniche and various well known surfing spots in that area too, amongst them the very well known "Supertubos". A short 15 minutes away from the villa a must see is the Buddha Eden site at Quinta dos Loridos. This haven of tranquillity provides a space for meditation that is simultaneously an open air art gallery: within the 35 hectares of the Buddha Eden Garden are roughly 200 statues representing cultures from all around the world. The exhibition includes Asian terracotta statues, representations of Buddha (a tribute to the Giant Buddha of Bayman, in Afghanistan, which were destroyed during that country’s war), African sculptures and also an area dedicated to contemporary art with works by Portuguese and foreign artists. The Un World heritage town of Obidos is home to some beautifully preserved medieval buildings within the walled bastion that has a history going back to the Roman occupation of the area confirmed by archaeological excavations that reveal the existence of a Roman city called Civitas near the hilltop on which the Obidos village and castle were established. This Roman settlement is most certainly the mysterious Eburobrittium. The Obidos Lagoon and Bird Sanctuary are of national importance (a stunning location with elevated bird observatory and local bird list – accessible by travelling south along the A8 motorway) The are 78 resident species; 46 visiting species and 40 Migrants species so it is a most unusual treat for most. One other really popular use for the Obidos Lagoon, far removed from the sanctuary of course, are the many high-octane water sports it offers. You could spend the whole day water skiing, snorkelling, canoeing, paragliding or simply fishing quietly in some of the more quite sheltered spots along the lagoon. No fishing licence is required so you simply choose your spot at random and enjoy the beautiful and stress-free environment around you. There are a number of little restaurants nestled among the trees along the shoreline where you can get refreshments and also have lunch and dinner at superb low prices. Caldas da Rainha, the historically well-known thermal spa town, can be reached within a 20 minute drive and here you can shop in the daily fruit market where you'll find the best the region has to offer in terms of fresh produce. There are also many supermarkets in the area to stock up on daily provisions. Bombarral has at least 3 reputable outlets to choose from for your supplies. If golf is your thing, then you can reach the internationally acclaimed five star golf courses at Praia del Rey within 30 minutes by car. Lisbon airport is only a 45 minute drive. Don't forget to visit the medieval castle of Obidos which is a short 15 minute drive from the villa and which is fast becoming known as the chocolate Mecca of Portugal with the annual chocolate festival taking place each year. Obidos also holds the medieval festival from mid-July onwards for a month. Here you can don medieval attire and enjoy some jousting, sword fencing and other pageants.

Refundable Damage Deposit Pricing Notes
GBP£400,00 If mid-vacation cleaning services are required, this can be arranged at an additional cost of GBP£60,00 /- per visit. The cost of heating during winter visits or any other cold spells at other times of year, is charged GBP£25,00/- per day. Swim towels extra GBP£2,00 per towel per week. Please check at the time of booking.
  • • 30% Initial deposit payable by bank transfer 4 weeks prior to arrival. Then 70% is payable by bank transfer 4 weeks prior to arrival.
  • • A fully refundable breakage deposit of GBP£400,00 will apply to all bookings. This amount is payable, along with the final rental instalment, 4 weeks prior to arrival.
  • • The breakage deposit will be refunded within 10 working days after leaving the villa subject to any damage or breakage that occurs during your stay.
  • • If you are visiting from outside the European Union, then the breakage deposit should be paid in cash Euros on arrival. The caretaker will inspect the property and refund your deposit in cash Euros, on departure day, provided there is no damage or breakage at the property.

We spent the most amazing week exploring the Silver Coast of Portugal using our Charming 50 Villa as a convenient base for trips mostly within 90 minutes drive. The only exception was the visit we made up north to the magnificent city of Oporto. The days went by all too quickly and we wish we have planned a 2 week's stay instead of 7 nights, which we not enough to take in the many sites and beautiful locations that this country has to offer. We got superb service from the team at Portugal Holiday Rentals and so much personal attention from the owner of the property who lived near by across the park. If you are planning a visit to the Silver Coast, the we highly recommend this lovely restored villa. We were two families with 13 people and we still had room for another person at least. Stylishly decorated in the modern minimalist design with comfortable beds, proximity to all the shops, restaurants and other amenities - The nearest beach is at Peniche which is a quick 25 minutes drive along the IP-6 motorway. The weather was absolutely perfect with warm temperatures, blue skies and terrific beaches. We have every intention to get here again soon with that full fortnight. What a lovely large and comfortable home - Well equipped and nicely decorated. For me the best was the location so close to the shops, grocery store etc. Walking distance to restaurants. A short distance to the Buddha garden, Loridos wine estate, Obidos and also Lisbon. The kitchen has everything you need for preparing and serving family meals. The pool was slightly smaller than we would have liked, but then there is the superb terrace and spacious games room. Not many properties I have visited offer all that. Would love to return her someday.

Jean Noël B. Nous avons passé 15 jours très agréable en Août 2018. Sonia a été très serviable et lorsque nous avons eu besoin, elle a immédiatement répondu présente. Nous étions 6 adultes et 3 enfants. La maison est totalement rénovée, que des grandes pièces mise à part la cuisine qui se trouve être un peu petite pour 9. Il manque un coin de verdure afin de pouvoir s'allonger et profiter du soleil. Éventuellement une tonnelle ou une pergola pour déjeuner en extérieur. Les chambres sont magnifiques avec une salle de bain attenante. La maison est bien située et il y a un intermarché à 250 m, différents commerces (Boulangerie, restaurant, bac tabac ....) ou l'on peut se rendre sans problème à pieds. Il y a 2 vélos dans la maison et un parc avec des aires de jeux et des appareils de fitness juste en face de la maison. Tous le temps de notre séjour, nous avons pu garer nos deux voitures devant la maison. Submitted 5 Sep 2018

Ótima localização perto das lojas, restaurantes e outras instalações, especialmente desde que tivemos crianças viajando com a gente todo o caminho do Brasil.
