A fantastic modern villa in its own landscaped gardens with magnificent views. The villa lies in the village of Olha Marinho just 10 minutes drive away from historic Obidos. The property has a private sun terrace to the front and rear of the house, which is ideal for al fresco dining or just to relax and laze in the warm sunshine. There is a lovely above ground 8m x 4m swimming pool that overlooks a big meadow and is a great spot to watch the setting sun. Located within a short walk of the shops and a short drive from the supermarket outside Obidos, this makes a wonderful pad for exploration of the Silver Coast. There are many more shops and restaurants in the nearby town of Amoreira just 5 minutes away. There are a number of supermarkets just a 20 minute drive away in Bombarral or in Caldas da Rainha where you can also shop for other local foods and excellent local wines. Historic Bombarral is the epicentre of this region and a visit to the Tourist information centre near the main Council building will be worthwhile. The house has some maps and brochures providing some information about all the local attractions. The old spa town of Caldas da Rainha, well known for its natural mineral springs, can be reached within a 20 minute drive where you can take in the waters or just wander the old cobbled streets along its chic but quaint shopping enclaves or perhaps you can pick up a bargain in the daily fruit & vegetable market, in the heart of the old quarter, where you will find the best the region has to offer in terms of fresh produce. If golf is your thing, then head off to the internationally acclaimed 18-hole championship golf course at Praia del Rey, which is a short 30 minutes by car. There are also many wonderful beaches at Peniche and Baleal that attract some of the best surfers from around the world and various well known surfing spots in that area too, amongst them the very well known "Supertubos".Lisbon airport is only a 60 minute drive away. You can reach most places on the Silver Coast by using the A-8 or A-1 motorways that traverse in a north-south direction.Whilst here, a visit to the medieval castle of Obidos is an absolute must. It draws over 3 million visitors a year and not without reason – It is a medieval gem and a world heritage centre with a well-preserved walled town that is over a thousand years old and is at the top of a hill so the views are really amazing.
